Art in Iwate ― A Year after 3.11
Composed of the prize winning works in the fine art competition of the 2011 Iwate Arts Festival along with some works recommended by the sections of the festival, this exhibition takes place annually at the museum in order to review the current aspect of the local art of various fields.
Especially this year, the 2011 Iwate Art Encouragement Prize winners are also laying out together their works in the gallery.

Our favorite monthly workshop traveled out of the museum to Iwate's coastal area. The finished workshop objects are put together to form a unique dream town and exhibited in the museum.

Exhibition "Paintings for Hope"
A small exhibition of the paintings and drawing which we accepted from the public on the theme of "hope" after 3.11.
