- Date:

Detail
This exhibition was originally held to celebrate the reopening of the Seoul Museum of Art last spring, and it has been restructured to suit the Japanese venues*. It is a comprehensive, large-scale exhibition that looks at the unique characteristics of Korean culture using the keywords 'color' and 'light', presenting a variety of works of art dating from the Joseon period down to the present in addition to clothes and everyday objects, demonstrating the range of Korean art. The traditional color sense based on Yin-Yang and the five elements, the color used by the Korean people today and the colors of the new digital age --- the color and light of past, present and future are all to be found in this exhibition. *This exhibition had travelled Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, Nagoya, and ATC Museum, Osaka, in 2002.
