Izumi Masatoshi was born into an old stonemasons family and worked closely with Isamu Noguchi. Now working in Mure town, Kagawa, Izumi creates unique sculptures using various kinds of stones from within and without Japan. His way of expression, quite restricted, draws the hidden attraction of stones. His 34 recent works are displayed at various places of the museum building. Please enjoy the harmony of the sculptures and the architecture.
