Seiichi Horiuchi (1932-1987, b. Tokyo) is a legendary art director known for such Japanese magazines as "anan" and "BRUTUS". He also produced many picture books that are still loved by many people, including "Gurunpa's Kindergarten", "Stop,Taro!", and "Yukiwatari (Snow Crossing) ".
This exhibition features a large number of Horiuchi's original illustrations for children's picture books, design drawings, oil paintings from his youth, and watercolors he created while traveling around the world. It will reveal how important illustration was to Horiuchi and how it was the source of his creativity as well as the joy of his life.
