Detail
Hanamori Yasuji (1911-1978, b. Hyogo), who published Kurashi no Techo (Living Handbook) with Ohashi Shizuko in 1948, worked as the magazine’s editor-in-chief until his death. On the other hand, he was also a multi-talented artist who had engaged in all aspects from production to promotion, such as reportage, writing, illustrations, layout and design.
With 740 works and related materials, this exhibition focuses on Hanamori's wide-ranging career and his views toward society, revisiting the message he posed through Kurashi no Techo.
