European Paintings -from Baroque to Modern Era-
- When
- Oct.18,2008(Sat) - Dec.23,2008(Tue)
Detail
This exhibition introduces 58 superb European paintings from the baroque era through the early 19th century, selected from the Nagasaka Collection. They were not so-called "old master paintings" by the famous artists to adorn the large churches or the palaces of royalty and titled nobility.
However, the painters in the collection must have shared the same era with the old masters and have been influenced by them. Making us feel familiar, every painting in the exhibition will convey in details atmosphere and taste of the times.
